From Portland, Oregon, 14-year-old Gus Jeffers is making waves in the pop and R&B scene. His music blends influence from Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, and Justin Bieber into a fresh, dynamic sound.


A talented multi-instrumentalist, Gus began his music journey early, gaining attention with his cover of the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” at age 11. He continues to develop under the guidance of industry mentors.


Gus is releasing new music monthly as part of his 4th project. Notable singles include "Stick Up", "Stuck" and "You Love U." He also performs regularly in Portland and is currently writing and producing for other teen artists as well.

Simultaneously, he aimed to build a direct line of communication with his burgeoning fan base by acquiring their email addresses. The core challenge was to achieve these objectives efficiently with a constrained budget of $5/day, ensuring every ad dollar contributed to genuine fan growth.

Our strategy revolved around highly targeted Meta Ads campaigns, focusing on the "Leads" objective to maximize pre-saves and email acquisitions. We integrated Smartnoise's native conversion pixel for accurate tracking of "Lifetime Pre-saves" – a key metric for understanding long-term fan engagement.

We built custom audiences by targeting individuals interested in similar-sounding popular artists, ensuring our ads reached potential fans already aligned with Gus's musical style.

Demographic targeting was precisely aligned with Gus's ideal fan profile. To optimize quality and conversion rate, our campaigns exclusively focused on Tier 1 and Tier 2 countries (regions known for higher engagement and purchasing power).

Furthermore, we strategically placed ads only within Instagram and Facebook Reels and Stories, leveraging the high engagement rates of these immersive formats. Continuous A/B testing of various creative formats allowed us to identify and scale the most effective ad content.

  • Total Fans Acquired: A robust 1,385 fans were added to Gus's Spotify network, indicating successful acquisition of individuals who actively pre-saved his music.

  • Lifetime Pre-saves: The campaigns generated 1,385 Lifetime Pre-saves Subscribers, directly boosting his new releases' initial streaming performance.

  • Efficient Lead Generation: Campaigns like "A+ OFF-IG Engagers-Tier1&2-IGPlacementO" achieved a Cost Per Result of $1.21 for Website Leads, while "A+ ON-Broad-Tier1&2-IG Engagers Excluded" achieved $1.78 per Website Lead. This demonstrates our ability to secure valuable fan connections at a competitive cost.

  • Valuable Fan Data: Beyond pre-saves, the campaigns successfully collected essential fan data, including names, emails, locations, and the source of their engagement (Spotify), providing Gus with a direct channel for future marketing and communication.
